Welcome to Hair IZ HAIR SALON & BARBER! I’m Ericka, a licensed master stylist with over 20 years of experience. For 17 years, I balanced corporate life—working as a document specialist and manager at IKON Office Solutions and Merrill Corp—while passionately doing hair on the side. In 2006, I made the leap to retire from Corporate America to pursue hair styling full-time. After years of dedication, including 17 wonderful years at Studio Hair 2000, I officially opened the doors to my very own salon in 2026!

Back when I was in cosmetology school, my instructor, Mrs. Jacobs, constantly said to me, "Hair is hair." Those words stuck with me and shaped my entire philosophy. I made a deliberate decision to service all customers, nationalities, and hair textures. Every single texture is welcome in my chair, and I am highly experienced in doing anyone's hair—which is exactly why I named my salon Hair IZ HAIR.

My salon operates on punctuality, respect, and deep connection—never a revolving door. I treat my loyal clients like family and love welcoming new faces. Even better, my son, E-The Barber, has joined the team to bring top-tier barbering to our community!

When I'm not servicing clients and managing my salon, I’m a tech enthusiast, a free spirit, and an active dancer with the Step N Style of Houston swing out community. My husband and I love traveling as empty nesters, and I'm a proud mom to three wonderful sons. Every day is a blessing, and I look forward to making you look and feel your absolute best!
